The city is like a history book, if you tear out one page, you loose a piece of history. The existing site (40 ha) of the paper factory Jiangzong ji Tuan in Nanchang shall be transformed into a new quarter which connects the city with the river. The design adopts characteristic elements of the town and includes them in the new building development. A central park and various public plazas valorise the new quarter and connect living and working there. An axis to the river is used as a shopping area and is flanked by residing towers.
