This project is a building which shall be used for scientific, museum-like and leisure activities. It is situated in the middle of the Eifel’s volcanic area and reacts in its appearance both to the subject “volcano” and its rural surroundings. Two shells arch upward and grow out of the landscape. They form one great hall, which is build underground in essential parts. The visitor enters the hall at the bottom of the building und moves up on a spiralled walk, passing all possible offers on his way.
