The Peek & Cloppenburg department store in Bergisch Gladbach is situated in the main shopping street. It consist of a new and an older part, whose façade is listed under a preservation order. The structure of the older part’s façade is repeated on the opposite side, thus a closed form is build. The glass façade is a hanging construction, which folds into a canopy above the main entrance, resembling a waving cloak.
