The building’s site is situated in the city centre of Wuppertal and is flanked by “Schlössergasse” in the south and “Wall” in the east.

The street façades are designed as glass façades. They are structured by concrete elements, which are integrated as pilaster strips in the façade’s straight surface. Behind the façade and between these pilaster strips there are further elements made of wood, which can be moved aside, thus the appearance of the building is slightly variable. Because of the moveable elements’ position the façade has a certain depth effect; its structure creates an appealing detailed appearance of the building.
